Learn Spanish by reading real Spanish
Read Spanish the way Spanish speakers write it: news from Spain and Latin America, stories, your own articles. Tap a word you do not know and see what it means right there.
Es una forma pausada de viajar, y de eso se trata.
pausada adjective
slow and calm; unhurried
Here it describes the way of travelling: slowly and with no rush. On a night train, the slow journey is the point.
What to read in Spanish
Today, the daily edition, has headlines from Spanish outlets, including elDiario.es, DW Español, Agencia SINC, Hipertextual and The Conversation España. Open one and the article opens in the reader, where every word can be tapped.
Spanish verbs change form a lot. Open Word analysis and the note tells you which verb a form comes from and which tense it is in.
You can also bring your own Spanish: import a PDF, save a link to a web article, or paste text. Whatever you read, it stays in Spanish, and help appears only where you ask for it.
How a tap helps
The word turns bold and a note opens under its sentence with the meaning it has here, in your own language. Word analysis gives the root and the form. Select a few words or a sentence to translate just that part.
Every word you tap is saved with its sentence and comes back as a card, at longer and longer gaps, until you know it. Listen reads books, PDFs and your texts aloud in a natural Spanish voice, sentence by sentence.
